In order to empower those who are underprivileged and marginalized, it is necessary to provide support to experts from the helping professions. Let's take a joint step towards improving the current situation.
The concept of social pedagogy, developed by Hans Thiersch, emphasizes providing support to those in need, particularly in the face of societal challenges. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, where issues like ethnic divisions, high unemployment, and poverty are prevalent, this model offers valuable guidance.
This approach centers on understanding individuals’ daily lives, circumstances, and needs. In the Bosnian context, it entails considering ethnic, economic, and societal differences affecting young people and vulnerable groups. It also promotes collaboration among experts and organizations to comprehensively support the community.
By implementing Thiersch’s social pedagogy model, Bosnia and Herzegovina can strive for a more inclusive society, ensuring young people receive the necessary resources for their development and potential realization.
